2. EDUCATION FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN SÁPMI An interview study with Sámi education professionals addressing the challenges and opportunities for respecting cultural diversity in education
Master-uppsats,Sammanfattning : In connection to global ESD discourse concerning the need for education to respect cultural diversity, the aim of this study is to investigate challenges and opportunities encountered by Sámi education professionals regarding the implementation of Sámi education in Sápmi. To meet this purpose, the study addresses the following research questions: How do Sámi education professionals describe: i) culturally appropriate and locally relevant education in Sápmi? ii) challenges and opportunities for implementing culturally appropriate and locally relevant education in Sápmi? To analyze the empirical material obtained through semi-structured interviews, a theoretical framework grounded in decolonial theory, using the concept of epistemic justice and critical place-based pedagogy, is applied. 3. Simulating Wildlife Experiences: A History of Natural History in the BBC
Magister-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för litteratur, idéhistoria och religionSammanfattning : This study places the BBC series Walking with Dinosaurs (1999) in the context of the history of wildlife filmmaking in the BBC, which began in the 1950’s. Despite Walking with Dinosaurs’s use of digital animation, as opposed to mechanical objectivity, a comparison of the intentions and epistemic notions of the creators of the program to those of their predecessors reveals a historical continuity in epistemic values, as well as in ideas regarding what positions natural history programs should hold in the circulation of knowledge between the scientific community, television, journalists, and the public. 5. REMEMBRANCE IN THE CITIZEN HUMANITIES : Co-producing memories and historical knowledge

Combining the study of three qualitative empirical sources (an explorative comparison of five citizen humanities projects, an autonetnography conducted in one of the projects and the observation and analysis of the interaction of the online community in said project) the epistemic culture in citizen humanities and how remembrance is enacted in this context are addressed.
