  1. 1. Additive Design Process for Critical Structures: Attempt study

    Master-uppsats, Mälardalens universitet/Akademin för innovation, design och teknik

    Författare :Tomas Kassir; Kanthee Prathan; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Design for Additive Manufacturing; Design Process; Generative Design; Method; Critical Structures; Safety factor.;

    Sammanfattning : There is a gap in scientific knowledge regarding designing functional parts that may not fail, and this project came to define these parts as critical structures. The proposed design process is called the Additive Design Process for Critical Structure, which synthesizes required activities found in the literature review necessary to produce theoretically safe design structures. 2. 2. Concept Design Improvement of Shift Fork for New Dog Clutch Actuator : Simulation driven product development approach

    Master-uppsats, Jönköping University/JTH, Industriell produktutveckling, produktion och design

    Författare :Nirmal Srinivasan; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Product development; Dynamic analysis; Equivalent-static load; Finite Element Method; Fatigue analysis; High-Pressure Die Casting; Computer-Aided Engineering; Computer-Aided Design; Topology optimization.;

    Sammanfattning : Kongsberg Automotive is developing a brand-new actuator for engaging and disengaging a clutch for different driveline applications. This master thesis research improves the concept design of the shift fork for the new Dog-Clutch Actuator using Design for Manufacturability (DFM). LÄS MER

  3. 3. CAE modelling of cast aluminium in automotive structures

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Mekanik och hållfasthetslära

    Författare :Subrat Singh; Sreehari Veditherakal Shreedhara; [2019]
    Nyckelord :Material failure model; LS- Dyna; Non-linear Finite Element analysis; Cast aluminium; Explicit FEA; LS-DYNA; Drop tower; Spring tower; Strut Tower; FEM; CrachFEM; ANSA;

    Sammanfattning : In the automobile industry, there is a big push for the automotive car manufacturers to base engineering decisions on the results of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) solutions, and to transform the prototyping and testing, from a costly iterative process to a final verification and validation step. The variability in components material properties and environmental conditions together with the lack of knowledge about the underlying physics of complex systems often make it impractical to make reliable predictions based on only deterministic CAE models.
