22. Weld joint optimization of an A-stay, of a critical component : Analysis of Volvo CE A60H articulated hauler front bogie
M1-uppsats, Linnéuniversitetet/Institutionen för maskinteknik (MT)Sammanfattning : Volvo Construction Equipment (VCE) has invested in an advanced lasermachine that can cut sheet metal parts with angled edges. As a result, thedevice provides expanded possibilities in the design and production of sheetmetal products. The material cost component is significant in the production of sheet metalproducts. LÄS MER
23. Designing of two load bearing surfaces in a modern high-speed steam engine
Master-uppsats, Karlstads universitet/Institutionen för ingenjörsvetenskap och fysik (from 2013)Sammanfattning : The topic of this thesis is the designing of two load bearing surfaces in a modern high-speed steam expander. One of the surfaces is a synchronizing gear structure and the other a conical surface. The goal besides the design is to calculate the contact pressure these surfaces experience during operation. 24. CFD Simulations of Velocity and Temperature Distributions of the AuraGen Axial Flux Machine
Master-uppsats, KTH/Maskinkonstruktion (Inst.)Sammanfattning : Axial flux induction machines are attractive solutions for electric vehicle applications nowadays. Thanks to their high torque density and no need for rare-earth material for permanent magnets, axial flux induction machines are the most used electric machine type with good performance and low prices. 25. Micro-CT based finite element models for mechanical strength assessment of glass ceramic scaffolds obtained through the robocasting technique
Master-uppsats, KTH/HållfasthetsläraSammanfattning : In this thesis, micro computed tomography (μ−CT) scans of a bio-glass scaffold produced by the robocasting technique was used to create finite element method (FEM) models with the purpose of determining its mechanical strength. Prior to this, a Matlab script was used to create several simplified geometries of the scaffold in an effort to determine the importance of scaffold design parameters (such as the fiber compenetration between two adjacent printing planes) on the strength of the scaffold.
