   Sammanfattning : Most electricity in Lebanon is produced by burning fossil fuels, which produces more than one half of domestic greenhouse gas emissions, and the state-owned electricity companies are unable to meet the demand. Within the context of sustainability, understanding the mechanisms that have produced these barriers can improve the possibility of identifying pathways to increasing the use of renewable energy in powering development.
