D-uppsats, Handelshögskolan i Stockholm/Institutionen för finansiell ekonomiSammanfattning : This paper describes a survey of a sample of Chinese individuals regarding their financial literacy, environmental literacy, attitudes toward ESG, and environmental related financial preference to investigate if pro-investment attitudes are related to financial decision-making. The data revealed that individuals with higher financial knowledge (FL) also have higher environmental knowledge (EL) and the effect is stronger among consumers who incorporate sustainability factors into their investment selection. 23. The ESG Advantage: Exploring the Relationship Between Sustainability and Corporate Acquisitions
D-uppsats, Handelshögskolan i Stockholm/Institutionen för finansiell ekonomiSammanfattning : This thesis investigates the impact of ESG scores on corporate acquisitions in Europe and the United States, examining whether firms with ESG scores are more likely to be acquired, and to which extent the ESG score of a target firm may affect the bid premium. Findings suggest that firms with an ESG score are more likely to be acquired compared to firms without, and that a high score implies a lower probability of being acquired compared to a low score. 25. Comply or Die: A Study of ESG Factor Returns and Volatility in the Nordic Countries from 2016 to 2022
D-uppsats, Handelshögskolan i Stockholm/Institutionen för finansiell ekonomiSammanfattning : Using corporate environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting data from 611 publicly traded firms in the Swedish House of Finance's Nordic Compass database, we estimate stock return and volatility exposures to an ESG factor during the period 2016-2022 in the Nordics. Using a Fama-Macbeth methodology, we find that during this time in the Nordic Countries exposure to an ESG factor is compensated with a risk premium and a volatility reduction in a Fama French 4 Factor model.
