1. FE-Modelling of Composite Girder tests
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för samhällsbyggnad och naturresurserSammanfattning : Many of the existing steel-concrete bridges may need to be strengthened, as heavier vehicles areallowed on the Swedish roads. These bridges could possibly be strengthened by post-installingshear connectors. The shear connectors may enhance the load-bearing capacity through a higherdegree of composite action between the steel and concrete interface. LÄS MER
2. MANGO - Generating 2D-Magnetic Field Maps From Normal-Conducting Magnets Of Experimental Areas
Master-uppsats, KTH/FysikSammanfattning : This thesis discusses the development of MANGO, a tool created to model normal-conducting magnets which were installed in the 1970s in the experimental areas at CERN, and store their analysis. MANGO formulates an answer to two problems faced by the physicists of the Beam Department when they model a beam line: first, how to produce new magnetic field maps and, second, how to easily access existing ones? It contains a multi-use package that offers an automated process to produce magnetic field maps from finite-element models of magnets. LÄS MER
3. Hybrid bridge deck of timber and corrugated steel plates
Master-uppsats, KTH/ByggnadsmaterialSammanfattning : Over the years, hybrid structures composed of timber and steel have become a potential alternative to conventional solutions. Recently, corrugated steel plate (CSP) has become more and more popular in structures such as shear walls and roofs due to its favorable mechanical properties. LÄS MER
4. Sammanfogningsmetoder för metallprofiler - lådor och ramar
Kandidat-uppsats, Högskolan i Skövde/Institutionen för ingenjörsvetenskapSammanfattning : Joining of materials is a very popular area of research, as a result of its central role within modern industry. The automotive industry has seen an increase in demand for joining methods that can contribute to weight reduction and meet the criteria for strength, while co-existing with goals set for sustainable development for the future. 5. Multiscale & Multiphysics Modelling of Thrust Pad (Air) Bearings
Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för teknikvetenskap och matematikSammanfattning : Without lubrication, machines are not imaginable to perform over a long period of time and complete their designated operations. With its omnipresent availability, the air is capable of functioning as a lubricant in long operations very efficiently. Moreover, thrust bearings support axial loads and transmit power at the same time under heavy loads. LÄS MER
