  1. 1. Utvärdering av tunnelbrandsmodeller

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Brandteknik

    Författare :Johanna Gondinger; Alva Larsson; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Tunnelbränder; FDS; handberäkning; branddynamik; brandexperiment Tunnel fires; CFD; hand calculations; fire dynamics; fire experiment; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this study was to investigate the predictive capabilities of hand-calculation methods and simulations using FDS in understanding the behavior of a tunnel fire in terms of temperature and incident radiation. Additionally, the study aimed to examine the repeatability of a large-scale fire experiment. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Wildfire growth modelling in Sweden - a suitability assessment of available data

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Henrik Hagelin; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Geography; GIS; Geographic Information Science; Physical geography; Prometheus; WiSE-FASS; The 2014 Västmanland wildfire; Wildfire growth modelling; Wildfire suppression support; Wildfire behaviour; MESAN; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Wildfires are worldwide problems that stress societies by damaging their economies and they cause serious, sometimes fatal, health implications among the populations. In recent years, the rate of wildfire occurrence has increased as the global average temperature has risen. Because of global climate change, this rate is expected to continue rising. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Solar Photovoltaic Fire Risks : FE-analysis of fire exposed solar photovoltaic systems and comparison of current legislation and recommendations from different countries

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/Byggkonstruktion och brand

    Författare :Elin Bergroth; Greta Torstensson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Solar Photovoltaic; National Guidelines; Fire Department; FE-analysis; TASEF; Solceller; Nationella Riktlinjer; Räddningstjänst; FE-analys; TASEF;

    Sammanfattning : The global use of energy increases every day and to meet the growing demand, energy sources are constantly being developed to become more efficient and reliable. During the last decade, the global solar photovoltaics (PV) capacity has increased every year and in 2017, solar PV was the global leading power source of renewable energy. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Investigation on Enhancing Fire Threat Perception in Virtual Reality through Subject-Expectancy Effect

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Brandteknik

    Författare :Hsuan-Ting Liu; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Virtual reality; safe distance; subject-expectancy effect; thermal radiation; placebo effect; fire scenario.; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis examines the use of subject-expectancy effect on enhancing fire threat perception in virtual reality. The study involves a virtual fire scenario design and 33 participants who experience virtual fires of three different scales in the scenario using a head-mounted display as visual and auditory perception and adopting physical movement in real world as their way of locomotion. 5. 5. A Web Application for Wildfire Spread Prediction and Visualisation in Sweden Using Geospatial Data and Technology

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Geoinformatik

    Författare :Micael Makenzius; Jonas Bylerius; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Prometheus; wildfire progression; real-time; python; Django; google earth engine; Mapbox GL JS; web-application; Prometheus; skogsbrands simulering; realtid; python; Django; google earth engine; Mapbox GL JS; webbapplikation;

    Sammanfattning : Skogsbränder är kraftfulla naturfenomen kapabla att åstakomma omfattande skada över stora ytor och medföra omfattande kostnader för sammhället både humanitärt, ekonomiskt och miljömässigt. Det finns därför ett starkt incitament att övervaka och förutspå skogsbränders utveckling och spridning. LÄS MER
