5. Basen i kontrabasundervisningen : Hur talar kontrabaslärare i jazz- och improvisationsutbildningar om undervisning?

Musikhögskolan/Institutionen för musik, pedagogik och samhälleSammanfattning : Denna studie har som mål att undersöka hur kontrabaslärare inom jazz- och improvisationsutbildningar talar om enskild undervisning på kontrabas, hur den traditionella metodiken för att lära sig att spela kontrabas inom den klassiska västerländska konstmusiken används i deras undervisning och vilka faktorer som påverkar deras val av undervisningsinnehåll. För att urskilja diskurser och faktorer i dessa olika lärares utsagor har enskilda kvalitativa intervjuer med fyra framstående lärare i jazzkontrabas på högskolor, folkhögskola och gymnasium genomförts och analyserats med hjälp av diskursteori.
