  1. 1. Experimental and computational analysis of the thermal degradation and the loss of strength of engineered wood-based panels

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Brandteknik

    Författare :Wickramasooriyage Devmini Kularatne; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Oriented strand board; thermal decomposition; mechanical degradation; heat transfer modelling; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The current trends in the construction industry push toward materials that are more sustainable and environmentally friendlier than more traditional building materials such as concrete and steel. Timber and timber composites are one of the most popular materials on this list, due to both their mechanical strength and pleasant aesthetics. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Viability, feasibility and Sustainability of emission reducing solutions for Nordic wood stoves: Testing and evaluation : Degree project for Master in mechanical engineering with focus on innovative and sustainable product development

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Blekinge Tekniska Högskola/Institutionen för maskinteknik

    Författare :Casper Berg; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Catalytic Filters; Variable filter deployment; Wood stove Emissions; Eco Design 2022; Reduced Emissions; Katalytiska filter; Varierande filter; Utsläpp från vedkaminer; Eco Design 2022; Reducerade utsläpp;

    Sammanfattning : As of 2022 the European Union introduced a new Eco Design legislation which states emission limits for stoves sold in the EU. There are already requirements on emissions, but as both legislation are to be harder and there is a higher interest in Eco friendly products, there is an interest to study different ways to reduce the emissions from wood stoves. 4. 4. Novel Technology in a Retail Space: A study of how IKEA retail space influences adoption of smart technology for the home

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för etnologi

    Författare :Ramona Engdahl; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Novel technology; adoption; smart homes; retail space; customer experience; retail atmospheres; social practices; material; competence; meaning; Social Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : The objective of this thesis is to understand how a retail space could facilitate a broader adoption of a novel technology. I aim to respond to the following questions, (i) ‘What characterises the practice of operating a smart technology for the home?’, (ii) ‘Which are the main barriers to reaching out to a broader range of customers, as opposed to only the technology interested customers?’, and (iii) ‘What in the retail space would need to change to facilitate broader adoption of a novel technology?’.
