1. Generating an Interpretable Ranking Model: Exploring the Power of Local Model-Agnostic Interpretability for Ranking Analysis
Magister-uppsats, Stockholms universitet/Institutionen för data- och systemvetenskapSammanfattning : Machine learning has revolutionized recommendation systems by employing ranking models for personalized item suggestions. However, the complexity of learning-to-rank (LTR) models poses challenges in understanding the underlying reasons contributing to the ranking outcomes. LÄS MER
2. Carabidocoenoses and Fragments of Forests : exploring the Carabid Landscape
Kandidat-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Forest Ecology and ManagementSammanfattning : Epigeic ground beetles (Coleoptera: Carabidae) were sampled between 2021-06-28 and 2021-07-09 using pitfall traps in the Swedish counties Värmland and Gävleborg. The structural properties of the landscapes surrounding these points were estimated from the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency’s national land cover databases and the Swedish Forest Agency’s data for all formally protected and high conservation value forests using patch-based configurational metrics. 3. Age of Peak Performance among Swedish Football Players
Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Statistik och maskininlärningSammanfattning : Within sports, the relationship between performance and age is deeply intertwined and is of interest to various roles within the sport. Despite its status as one of the largest sports in the world, there is a limited amount of previous work in the context of football and the leagues investigated has emphasized the highest ranked leagues. 4. The possibility of machine learning algorithms to explain long-run economic growth
C-uppsats, Handelshögskolan i Stockholm/Institutionen för nationalekonomiSammanfattning : The empirical investigation of economic growth has been one of the most researched topics in economics. Most recently, machine learning algorithms that can handle nonlinearities, discontinuities and other issues inherent with traditional linear approaches have been proposed to be able to more accurately describe the empirical determinants of economic growth. 5. Long-term forecasting model for future electricity consumption in French non-interconnected territories
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)Sammanfattning : In the context of decarbonizing the electricity generation of French non-interconnected territories, the knowledge of future electricity demand, in particular annual and peak demand in the long-term, is crucial to design new renewable energy infrastructures. So far, these territories, mainly islands located in the Pacific and Indian ocean, relies mainly on fossil fuels powered facilities. LÄS MER
