   Sammanfattning : En tredjedel av allt avfall i Sverige kommer från byggsektorn, om man räknar bort gruvsektorn. Det har skett en ökning av avfallet inom byggsektorn från år 2012 till år 2014.  Enligt uppskattningar av ett branschledande åkeriföretag utgjorde gipsspillet 5 % av det totala avfallet år 2015 i Stockholm och Uppsala.
