  1. 1. Removal of arsenic from groundwater using adsorption to ferrihydrite-coated laterite in Burkina Faso

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Mark- och vattenteknik

    Författare :Agnes Hagstroem; [2017]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : In several parts of Burkina Faso, there is an urgent need of making arsenic contaminated water potable. The shallow, dug out wells traditionally used in the rural areas provides small, inconsistent yields and are vulnerable to microbes. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Treatment of arsenic-enriched drinking water in Burkina Faso using column adsorption

    L3-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Luft-, vatten- och landskapslära

    Författare :Johanna Frid; Amanda Haglind; [2014]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : In the northern part of Burkina Faso, in the Yatenga province, the water in several drinking wells contains arsenic. The arsenic originates from the bedrock and thus affects all those that depend on the deeply drilled tube wells for their daily water needs. Since arsenic is harmful to consume it is important to find a practical way of removing it. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Removal of Arsenic in Ground Water from Northern Burkina Faso through Adsorption with Granular Ferric Hydroxide : A SIDA Minor Field Study at the Department of Chemistry, University of Ouagadougou

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Luft-, vatten- och landskapslära

    Författare :Hannes Öckerman; Emma Lundin; [2013]
    Nyckelord :Burkina Faso; arsenic; Granular Ferric Hydroxide; adsorption; column test; drinking water; ground water; self-regeneration;

    Sammanfattning : The need of making arsenic contaminated ground water potable is urgent in parts of Burkina Faso. An implementation of a treatment design using Granular Ferric Hydroxide (GFH) is under development. Water from a tube-well in Lilgomdé, Yatenga province, Burkina Faso, has been treated with the adsorbent GFH through column experiments. LÄS MER
