  1. 11. Fighting in the Streets : Testing Theory on Urban Warfighting

    Magister-uppsats, Försvarshögskolan

    Författare :Viktor Villner; [2017]
    Nyckelord :Urban Warfare; Alice Hills; Stalingrad; Grozny; Mogadishu;

    Sammanfattning : This paper sets out to examine why it is that combat in urban environments is so deadly and casualty-heavy for conventional militaries, even when those militaries hold a technological and/or numerical advantage. The paper aims to test the theory of Alice Hills through a structured, focused comparison on three cases of urban warfighting. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Säkerhet, risker och stress : en deskriptiv fallstudie av ramppersonalens arbetsmiljö

    Magister-uppsats, KTH/Ergonomi

    Sammanfattning : This study had the standpoint in the terms that refers to ground handlers on a Swedish airport. The risks involved in loading and unloading the goods. The issue grew as the knowledge increased about the Human, Technology and Organisation (HTO). LÄS MER

  3. 13. Uncovering Hidden Needs in Ground Engineering : Case Study of LKAB Wassara

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Maskinkonstruktion (Inst.)

    Författare :IGOR KORDAS; [2016]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Detta examensarbete utgick både från behovet av bättre förståelse för grundläggningsmarknaden av LKAB Wassara – ett innovativt företag som har utvecklat den nya tekniken av hydraulisk DTH-borrning; och från insikten att åstadkommande av kundnöjdhet genom uppfyllandet av dolda behov i byggbranschen är en lovande men samtidigt utmanande uppgift. Utmaningen som behandlas i detta examensarbete är tvåfaldig: dels leder de konventionella marknadsundersöknings metoder ofta till att de dolda kundbehoven inte erhålls, trots att dessa behov är mycket viktiga för produktinnovation; och dels är det en brist på fallstudier som utforskar de explicita eller dolda behoven i byggbranschen. 4. 14. Uncovering Hidden Needs in Ground Engineering: Case Study of LKAB Wassara

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Maskinkonstruktion (Inst.)

    Författare :Igor Kordas; [2016]
    Nyckelord :Hidden needs; customer satisfaction; ground engineering; Outtalade behov; kundnöjdhet; grundläggnning;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis stemmed from the need for better understanding of the ground engineering market by LKAB Wassara - an innovative company that developed a novel technology of hydraulic DTH-drilling; and from the insight that achieving customer satisfaction through fulfilment of hidden needs in the construction industry is a promising yet challenging endeavour.  The challenge addressed in this thesis is twofold: firstly, the conventional market studies often lead to the hidden customer needs being lost, while these needs are important for product innovation; and secondly, there is a lack of case studies exploring the explicit or hidden needs in the construction business that might be partially explained by complexity of interrelations of products, services and stakeholders inherited to the construction market. 5. 15. Comparative study of risk analysis methods from a fire safety perspective - Case study of new underground facilities at CERN

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Brandteknik

    Författare :Frida Olin; Erik Isaksson; [2016]
    Nyckelord :Risk analysis methods; design fires; event tree analysis; preliminary hazard analysis; What-if; ROGA; Gretener method; NFPA 101; comparative analysis; CERN; technical risk analysis methods; case study; LHC; HL-LHC; complex methods; simplified methods; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : This report has investigated which type of risk analysis methods that can be used in an early design phase in a unique facility from a time and quality perspective. Two planned underground facilities for the HL-LHC at CERN have been used as a case study. LÄS MER
