  1. 1. Decay Chains of Fast Alpha Emitters in the Actinide Region

    Magister-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Partikel- och kärnfysik

    Författare :Tanvir Sayed; [2024]
    Nyckelord :alpha decay; alpha emissions; fine structure; decay chain; decay scheme; alpha spectrometry; actinide; nucleus; nuclear structure; nuclear states; energy levels; uranium isotopes; U310 experiment; parasitic runs; decay station; TASISpec ; moving window deconvolution; digitisers; alpha-gamma coincidence; 221-Th decay; fine structure of alpha decay to 217-Ra; GSI; Gamow s theory; Geiger-Nuttall; chain search; short half-lives; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : With the advent of increasingly advanced spectroscopic instruments after the turn of the century, it has become accessible to unravel the structure of instantly ‘vanishing’ nuclei, with lifetimes as short as 1 μs, and responsible for pile-up events in analog electronics. Experimental data has been recorded by the Nuclear Structure Group at Lund University for 48Ca/50Ti + nat. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Techno-Economic Analysis of Dye Separation in Textile Recycling

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Teknisk vattenresurslära

    Författare :David Lundberg; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Dye; Membrane filtration; Electrocoagulation; Techno-economic analysis; Pre-feasibility study; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : This study determines the technical and economic feasibility of separating dye from a process filtrate in industrial textile recycling using electrocoagulation or sequences of membrane filtration with microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration and reverse osmosis. The lower requirements for treating this stream, compared to previously researched dyehouse effluents, left treatments not good enough for dyehouses viable for this process filtrate. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Blood flow restriction training for people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or heart failure; A scoping review

    Kandidat-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Avdelningen för fysioterapi

    Författare :Ivar Ramström; Kevin Ulman; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Cardiac rehabilitation; Pulmonary rehabilitation; KAATSU; BFR; BFRT; Vascular occlusion; HF; COPD;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Blood flow restriction training (BFRT) is an effective way of training that enables training with low external load while receiving similar effects to high load training. The lack of knowledge of BFRT for people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or heart failure (HF) led to the making of this scoping review. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Adherence to Treatment Advice in Patients with Heart Failure : Connections to mental health, social and socioeconomic factors

    Master-uppsats, Malmö universitet/Institutionen för vårdvetenskap (VV)

    Författare :Moa Lassbo Lundquist; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Adherence; non-adherence; self-care; heart failure; multidisciplinary teams;

    Sammanfattning : Aim: The aim of this study is to examine adherence among patients with HF and its potential association with mental health, social support and socioeconomic status.  Introduction: For patients with heart failure, self-care is strongly advised, encompassing prescribed medication intake, fluid reduction and weight control to maintain stability. 5. 5. The Impact of Oat and Fruit Consumption on Short-Chain Fatty Acid Production

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Livsmedelsteknik och nutrition (master)

    Författare :Johanna Margaretha Schilder; [2023]
    Nyckelord :short-chain fatty acids; SCFAs; diet; gas chromatography; serum; mice; applied nutrition and food chemistry; Agriculture and Food Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : This study explored the importance of short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) in maintaining gut health and how different diets affect their levels. Blood plasma and serum samples from mice subjected to two intervention studies on oats and fruits were analysed to determine SCFA concentrations. LÄS MER
