   Sammanfattning : In this thesis I compare two anti-gay fatwas by the Muslim scholar Muhammad Saalih al-Munajjid with the book Homosexuality in Islam by Scott Siraj al-Haqq Kugle, who is a professor at Emory University. The aim is to analyze how al-Munajjid and Kugle use the story of Lot in order to unpack and present two divergent readings of homosexuality. LÄS MER

   Sammanfattning : The present study is an interview study with the aim of investigating how the interpretation of the interviewed pastors, from Pentecostal congregations, correlates to their biblical ideologyand biblical practice in relation to parts of the Bible which have to do with homosexuality. That is to say, how their expectations of the Bible, and the ways in which knowledge can be drawn from the texts therein, as well as the methods they use to reach their interpretation, impact their interpretation.    Sammanfattning : This essay examines how a disease discourse of homosexuality became the dominant discourse that pushed the debate on the decriminalization of homosexuality in Sweden forward. The essay shows that arguments for homosexuals’ right to personal freedom and subjective happiness, constituted a kind of rift in the discourse during the 1930’s debate. LÄS MER
