    Sammanfattning : Density functional theory (DFT) calculations of polyethylene (PE) HVDC cable insulation have been performed for systems containing four different chemical impurities: acetophenone, cumene, $\alpha$-methyl styrene and $\alpha$-cumyl alcohol.
