    Sammanfattning : The Tam Giang-Cau Hai lagoon is located outside of Hue in central Vietnam. Southeast of Thuan An inlet, one of the two inlets of the lagoon, a groin was constructed in 2008 as a measure to reduce the sediment transport to prevent the inlet from closing. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Water Situation In China - Crisis Or Business As Usual?

    Master-uppsats, Industriell miljöteknik

    Författare :Elaine Leong; [2013]
    Nyckelord :water; water crisis; water pollution; China; Yangtze River; Yellow River; Huai River; Hai River; Tarim River; Pearl River; Falkenmark Water Scarcity Index; Global threats to human water security and river biodiversity; Physical and economic water scarcity index; Water stress indicator taking environmental water requirements into account; Heihe River; China s future water demand; China s water future;

    Sammanfattning : Several studies indicates China is experiencing a water crisis, were several regions are suffering of severe water scarcity and rivers are heavily polluted. On the other hand, water is used inefficiently and wastefully: water use efficiency in the agriculture sector is only 40% and within industry, only 40% of the industrial wastewater is recycled. 5. 5. An Investigation of Exchange Rates in the Tam Giang-Cau Hai Lagoon System, Vietnam, through Hydrodynamic Modeling

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Teknisk vattenresurslära

    Författare :Michael Tushaj; [2009]
    Nyckelord :SMS; water exchange; engineering; Vietnam; Water Resources; lagoon; Earth and Environmental Sciences; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The Tam Giang-Cau Hai lagoon system, two inter-connected and naturally occurring coastal lagoons located in the Thua Thien-Hue province of Vietnam, comprises two inlets: Thuan An and Tu Hien. The Thuan An and Tu Hien inlets connect the lagoon system to the South China Sea and they are subjected to morphologic changes due to sediment transport effects. LÄS MER
