   Sammanfattning : Mental arithmetic problems require cognitive skills such as decoding numbers, working memory and the use of mental computation strategies. Pupils obtain various computation strategies at school, but what kind of strategies do pupils who are high achievers in mathematics choose while solving mental arithmetic problems? This study aimed to investigate what kind of strategies pupils who are high achievers in mathematics used while solving mental arithmetic problems, and if there were any substantial findings in the correlation between those strategies and their audio and visual memory.
