    Sammanfattning : This thesis examines the relationships between people and their inherited objects. By using theories about how objects can contain memories, undergo functional changes and can be seen as connections for maintaining a communication between the present and the past - between separate places and times - I have looked closer at the reason why inherited objects have been preserved by a specific person, how the inherited objects are used today compared to its origin use, which thoughts that exists about the object and its future, and also if any memories, stories, emotions and experiences are connected to it.
