    Sammanfattning : The goal of this thesis is to investigate if the absence of an idea of a family relation between Ruth the Moabitess and King David in the Books of Samuel can be used as circumstantial evidence that could help substantiate an argument for giving the Book of Ruth a late date, a late date meaning that the Book of Ruth would have been produced later than the Books of Samuel.
