   Sammanfattning : Abstract Oppgavens problemstilling er: «Hvordan utfordrer Kina USAs rolle som hegemon i møte med COVID-19 krisen?» og baserer seg i hovedsak på teorien om goods substitution sammen med multidimensjonal teori om revisjonisme og et realistisk teoretisk bakteppe. Med utgangspunkt i kinesisk historisk bakgrunn og eksempler på «goods substitution», analyseres problemstillingen utfra de tre punkter: 1) Hvordan narrativet rundt COVID-19 ble forsøkt kontrollert av Kina 2) Den Kinesiske innflytelsen på internasjonale institusjoner, da spesielt WHO 3) Det potensielle vakuumet etterlatt av USA som har oppstått over lengre tid og om Kina er klare til å fylle dette.
