  1. 1. Has Sweden “Struck Oil”? Exchange Rate Implications of Large Natural Resource Discoveries

    Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för nationalekonomi med statistik

    Författare :Emil Dahlbom; Johan Helmstad; [2023-06-29]

    Sammanfattning : With the global shift towards renewable energy and sustainable development, what are considered important natural resources and the value thereof, is undergoing a change, particularly as new technologies develop. The effects of natural resources on macroeconomic factors have been debated for centuries, and while some countries have sustainably managed their natural resources, empirical evidence shows that positive effects should not be taken for granted. 2. 2. Weather and Firm Production in Europe

    C-uppsats, Handelshögskolan i Stockholm/Institutionen för nationalekonomi

    Författare :Hanna Johansson; Leo Ljunggren; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Climate change; Weather; Firm Production; Europe; Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics;

    Sammanfattning : With exceeding risks of climate change damages, the economical implications of changes in weather patterns for firm production have become increasingly important. 4. 4. Proportional income taxation and heterogeneous labour supply responses : A study of gender-based heterogeneity in extensive margin labour supply decisions in response to changes in proportional income taxation in Swedish municipalities from 1960 to 1990

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Nationalekonomiska institutionen

    Författare :Elliott Syrén; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Proportional income taxation; Municipal tax rates; Extensive margin labour supply; Gender-based heterogeneity; Fixed effects; Weighted least squares WLS ; Public economics;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is, to my knowledge, the first study utilising data from the Swedish population and housing censuses between 1960 and 1990 merged with other data from the same period in order to estimate extensive margin labour supply responses to changes in municipal tax rate changes. Given that women historically have not faced the same structural labour market preconditions as men, the empirical strategy is designed to allow for an analysis of gender-based heterogeneity in labour supply responses. 5. 5. Breathing Effects in Proton Scanning for Hodgkin's Lymphoma

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Sjukhusfysikerutbildningen

    Författare :John Nilsson; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Medicine and Health Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Purpose/Background Proton beam scanning (PBS) for mediastinal Hodgkin's Lymphoma (HL) is limited when treating in free-breathing (FB) due to breathing motion in the thoracic region. Tumour motion and the time structure of the beam delivery will cause interplay and dose blurring effects, resulting in discrepancies of dose in the planned dose distribution both inside and at the edges of tumour volume (TV).
