In Sweden children learn about the Vikings in school, but what have children been taught about the Viking? The study uses four different textbooks published 1868-2012 to find out how the Viking has been portrayed over time, Läseboken för folkskolan from 1868, Läseboken för folkskolan from 1935, Lärobok I Fäderneslandets historia from 1964 and Puls Historia from 2012.
