The concept was established in a government report 1982 with a proposal that meant strengthening the Church of Sweden's presence in the armed forces in exchange for the Church of Sweden being responsible for part of the salaries. The purpose of the study is to investigate spiritual practices and how they are legitimized in a Christian context through ritual analysis.
