    Sammanfattning : The essay discusses the regulation of the purchase of sexual services in the Nordic countries, with a particular focus on the comparison of Swedish legislation which is found in Chapter 6, paragraph 11 of the Swedish Penal Code (BrB), stating that anyone who engages in a temporary sexual connection for compensation is sentenced to a maximum of one year in prison for the purchase of sexual services. Finland has a partial ban on sex purchases, criminalizing the purchase of sexual services when the person involved is subjected to procuring and human trafficking. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The primary objective of this thesis is to conduct a comparative analysis of Sweden'slegislation, that criminalizes the purchase of sexual services, with Finland's laws thatdistinguish prostitution from human trafficking and prohibit the purchase of sexual services ifthe customer is aware of or ought to have suspected that the prostitute is a victim of humantrafficking. The study aims to identify and examine the core differences between these laws and how they reflect distinct views on prostitution and women, and the extent to which they are aligned with gender equality.
