1. Hydrologisk och hydrokemisk studie om Trehörningen : En igenväxande sjö i östra Uppland
Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Luft-, vatten- och landskapsläraSammanfattning : Lake overgrowth occurs in many areas in Sweden, and it is often explained by elevated amounts of nutrients. The overgrowth results in a changed local environment for both communities and ecosystems. In this project the lake Trehörningen, near Spersboda in Norrtälje municipality, has been examined regarding an ongoing overgrowth process. LÄS MER
2. Hydrochemical investigation and vulnerability assessment of the Los Bambinos aquifer in Costa Rica
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Lunds universitet/Teknisk geologi; Lunds universitet/Väg- och vattenbyggnad (CI)Sammanfattning : In this study, a hydrochemical and biological investigation, and a vulnerability assessment were conducted on the Los Bambinos aquifer during the spring of 2020. A literature study on previous studies conducted in the area was also made. This aquifer is located on the southwestern slope of the Barva volcano, northeast of Alajuela, Costa Rica. LÄS MER
3. Hydrology of the karstic basin of Sprimont, Belgium : On the use of spectrofluorimetry and pharmaceutical substances as a supporting tool for hydrochemistry analysis
Master-uppsats, Stockholms universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografiSammanfattning : The strong variation in carbonate content of the geological formations in the basin of Sprimont, Belgium, implies different groundwater behaviours in the substratum. The existence of carbonated materials such as limestone is responsible for the existence of a well-developed karstic system restricted to the Carboniferous materials which has a strong impact on the local hydrology and hydrogeology. 4. How does drainage affect hydrology and hydrochemistry in boreal peatlands?
L3-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för ekologi, miljö och geovetenskapSammanfattning : Boreal peatlands are substantial terrestrial carbon storages. They are also important for the function of several large-scale cycles and systems that humanity benefits from. Drainage affects peatlands by establishing a new, lower equilibrium for the groundwater table. LÄS MER
5. Variable Specific Discharge and Its Influence on Mass Export of Carbon, Sulphur, Calcium and Magnesium in a Boreal Forest Catchment
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaperSammanfattning : Considerable research efforts are made in order to understand the global carbon cycle and how it will affect future climate change and vice versa. To be able to calculate the export of carbon from a certain area, discharge is one of the most important variables together with stream concentrations. LÄS MER
