  1. 6. Volcanic facies and hydrothermal alteration at the Norra volcanigenic massive sulfide deposit : Storuman area, Sweden

    Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för samhällsbyggnad och naturresurser

    Författare :Meseret Gebreyesus; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Volcanic massive sulfide deposit; alteration zonation; volcanic chemostratigraphy; facies architecture;

    Sammanfattning : The Skellefte District, with a long and rich history of base metal extraction that commenced asearly as 1924, is rated amongst the leading mining provinces in Sweden and Europe. The districtrepresents a Paleoproterozoic volcanic arc hosting more than 85 known (gold-bearing) VMSdeposits and several economic grade orogenic gold occurrences. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Internal geology and emplacement processes of Kimberlites, Case Study from the Tsabong Kimberlite Field, Botswana

    Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Geovetenskap och miljöteknik

    Författare :Mpho Ndebele; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Kimberlites; Geology; Emplacement Processes; Botswana;

    Sammanfattning : The Crateceous (85 Ma) MK1 pipe is part of the Tsabong kimberlite cluster located approximately550km south west of Gaborone and geologically found within the Kapvaal Craton. The Tsabongkimberlite field consists of 86 known kimberlites. The MK1 pipe is the largest of this cluster at 140ha,1. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Laser Ablation in Magnetites; Unravelling the Signatures of Trace Element Patterns for Ore Petrogenesis : Trace element signatures of magnetite linked to metallogenesis of iron mineralizations of the Kiruna type

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Siôn Kinson; [2020]
    Nyckelord :EPMA; LA-ICPMS; petrogenesis; magnetite; orthomagmatic; igneous; hydrothermal; alteration; EPMA; LA-ICPMS; petrogenes; magnetit; ortomagmatisk; stollande; hydrotermisk; förändring;

    Sammanfattning : Trace element analyses of magnetite samples from multiple ore deposits worldwide have recently been conducted, using both EPMA and LA-ICPMS, in order to try and understand the petrogenesis of Kiruna-type ore deposits. Here I employ literature data and new data from Kiruna and Grängesberg (Sweden) to help constrain and visualise evolutionary trends recorded by our samples and derive an overall model for the evolutionary processes that lead to Kiruna-type deposits. 4. 9. Structural controls on the shear zone hosted, IOCG-style Kiskamavaara Cu-Co-Au mineralization

    Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för samhällsbyggnad och naturresurser

    Författare :Nicolai Metzger; [2019]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Sweden is the largest producer of iron ore in the European Union, as well as amongst the top producers for base and precious metals. Much of its mineral wealth derives from northern Norrbotten, type locality of the Kiruna-type-magnetite-apatite ores. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Characterization of Fe-rich skarns and fluorapatite-bearing magnetite occurrences at the Zinkgruvan Zn-Pb-Ag and Cu deposit, Bergslagen, Sweden

    Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för samhällsbyggnad och naturresurser

    Författare :Filip Ivarsson; [2019]
    Nyckelord :Zinkgruvan; Bergslagen; Magnetite; REE; Broken Hill-type; Skarn; SEDEX;

    Sammanfattning : Zinkgruvan is a stratiform Zn-Pb-Ag and Cu sulphide deposit hosted by Paleoproterozoic strata in southern Bergslagen, Sweden. The deposit underwent medium-high grade regional metamorphism during the Svecokarelian orogeny, including partial melting of the host succession. LÄS MER
