    Sammanfattning : This study aims to investigate how students in Swedish upper secondary school conceptualize sizes and distances of some astronomical objects, such as planets and stars, as well as the students’ general knowledge of the objects themselves. The study uses a constructivist framework and explores how well the students’ conceptions match the scientific facts and definitions, and what misconceptions and alternative conceptions they hold.     Sammanfattning : A real-world study was undertaken of the indoor air quality in a recently-built single family home in central Sweden, to establish whether demand controlled ventilation provided superior interior conditions, when compared with other air supply strategies, including the standard used by the Swedish buildings regulator.     Sammanfattning : Indoor Air Pollution (IAP) resulting from indoor burning of solid biomass fuels in poorly ventilated kitchens is a severe health risk in parts of the world where energy poverty is prevalent.     Sammanfattning : Maintaining IAQ (Internal Air Quality) and thermal comfort of occupants in buildings have been a challenge to overcome satisfying the two ends: criteria for sustainability and cost effectiveness. Although there was a movement for mechanical ventilation systems in the recent past, in addition to the cost involved, they are found to not deliver the desired air quality, lead to social consequences such as sick building syndrome, contribute to environmental consequences related to ozone-depleting substances with increasing energy consumption, generate noise and having difficulties in cleaning and maintaining.
