    Sammanfattning : Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur upplevelsen av Vuxenutbildningen i Svenska för invandrare beskrivs av tidigare deltagare efter ett visst antal år i Sverige, utifrån en distans till upplevelsen. Materialet utgjordes av sex personer födda i mellanöstern med eftergymnasial utbildning från sitt ursprungsland, vilka har levt i Sverige mellan fyra till sex år efter avslutad SFI-utbildning.
