    Sammanfattning : This study has examined how young people in out-of-home care, specifically special youth homes in Sweden (SiS), describe their life situation and their ability to make their voices heard during care.     Sammanfattning : In a well-known verse Swedish eighteenth century writer Anna Maria Lenngren advise her fictive daughter to avoid reding, since it might distract her from her household chores. This paper intends to examine attitudes towards women’s reading in eighteenth century Sweden, using different kinds of sources: Satirical verses, conduct books for girls and young women and genre paintings by Swedish painter Pehr Hilleström, depicting bourgeoise and aristocratic interiors.     Sammanfattning : Studien utgår ifrån behandlingspersonal på ett SiS LVM-hem och deras beskrivningar av sitt förhållningssätt gentemot kvinnor med samsjuklighet i form av missbruk och ätstörning, samt vilka utmaningar och möjligheter som de upplever i sitt arbete i förhållande till gruppen.     Sammanfattning : This essay examines the sterilisation of people with mental illness in the years 1936, 1937 and 1942 in Gothenburg. Focusing on people with mental illness, rather than the more researched so-called feeble-minded, the aim is to study the sterilisation procedure from a patient-centred perspective and thereby investigate norms, negotiation spaces and how mental illness was con- stituted from the perspective of those who were otherwise considered deviant in the emerging welfare society.
