  1. 1. Generating Product-Service Design Improvements from a Climate Impact and Energy Use Perspective Using Life Cycle Assessment : The Case of Vertical Access Equipment

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Industriell miljöteknik

    Författare :Vishnu Teja Tirumalasetty; Max Olof Jonas Bäck; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Life Cycle Assessment; LCA; Product-Service System; PSS; Vertical Access Equipment; Circular Economy;

    Sammanfattning : Climate change is connected to several negative effects on local environments around the globe such as, longer, and more intense droughts, less freshwater supplies, ocean warming, sea level rise, polar ice melting, more intense storms, and rainfall (NASA, 2021).  These problems are mainly due to the increasing amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere as well as other greenhouse gases (GHG) which cause a similar or stronger climate change effect (WWF, 2021). 2. 2. Sea Level Rise Vulnerability Assessment for Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Marwa al Kabban; [2019]
    Nyckelord :Physical Geography and Ecosystem analysis; GIS; Sea Level Rise; Vulnerability Assessment; Modelling Sea Level Rise; Impacts Assessment of Sea Level Rise; GIS application in Sea Level Rise; Disaster Risk Reduction DRR ; Government Information Sharing GIS ; ArcGIS Web App Builder Dashboard; Sea Level Rise Story Map; Earth and Environmental Sciences; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The phenomenon of global warming has become a fact, however; the uncertainty is about the magnitude and acceleration of its manifestations. Global mean sea level rise is one of the results induced by global warming and is happening with an undetectable accelerated pace. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Drying Lakes: A Review on The Health Conditions and Restoration Strategies

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Teknisk vattenresurslära

    Författare :Anchita Anchita; [2019]
    Nyckelord :Drying Lakes; Health; Restoration of Lake; Water level; Large Aral Sea; Small Aral Sea; Lake Urmia; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Great salt lakes around the world are drying at a rapid rate. The drying salt lakes gives rise to several health and socio-economic concerns for the population in the surrounding region. The respective governments undertook various measures to address the concerns relating to the drying of salt lakes. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Impacts of future sea level rise and high water on roads, railways and environmental objects: a GIS analysis of the potential effects of increasing sea levels and highest projected high water in Scania, Sweden

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Emilie Jideblad Arnesten; [2019]
    Nyckelord :geography; Geographical Information Systems; GIS; sea level; sea level rise; climate change; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : This study uses GIS analyses to investigate the risk that increasing sea levels and highest projected highwater pose by increasing the risk of inundation on state-owned roads and railways as well as environmental objects in their side areas. This is done through an assessment of sea level rise projections and a risk analysis, which points out where vulnerable features are located and provides timeframes and durations for the risk. 5. 5. Impact of extreme sea levels and waves in the bay of Lundåkra - present situation and future scenarios

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Teknisk vattenresurslära

    Författare :Sandra Ottosson; Karin Vendt; [2013]
    Nyckelord :bottom profiles; climate change; sea levels; flooding; erosion; wave runup; Bay of Lundåkra; Natura 2000; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : This report is a study of the impacts of extreme sea levels and waves on the coastal area of the bay of Lundåkra. The bay is characterized by shallow sea bottoms and a flat topography, particularly in the north. Analyses have been based on historical data. LÄS MER
