  1. 1. Formation and Evolution of Protoplanetary Disks

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Astronomi - Genomgår omorganisation

    Författare :Johan Appelgren; [2019]
    Nyckelord :protoplanetary disk; protoplanetary disk formation; protoplanetary disk evolution; planet formation; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : A star forms with a surrounding protoplanetary disk after the collapse of a molecular cloud core. Subsequently, over a period of several Myr this protoplanetary disk of dust and gas is accreted onto the host star. We model the formation and evolution of such a protoplanetary disk using a one-dimensional numerical model. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Can there be an Earth-like planet in HD37605?

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Astronomi - Genomgår omorganisation

    Författare :Johan Appelgren; [2017]
    Nyckelord :Orbital stability; Dynamics; Exoplanets; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : Detection of Earth-mass planets on orbits around 1 AU with the radial velocity method has so far not been possible, the Doppler velocity they induce on their host star is too small to be detected. Planetary systems detected with the radial velocity method might then contain undetected Earth-like planets. LÄS MER

  3. 3. U-Pb baddeleyite geochronology and geochemistry of the White Mfolozi Dyke Swarm : unravelling the complexities of 2.70-2.66 Ga dyke swarms on the eastern Kaapvaal Craton, South Africa

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionen

    Författare :Johan Rådman; [2014]
    Nyckelord :Kaapvaal Craton; White Mfolozi Dyke Swarm; geochronology; U-Pb; baddeleyite; Diabase; Dolerite; geokronologi; baddeleyit; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Numerous mafic dykes of different generations and trends intrude the eastern part of the Kaapvaal Cra-ton. On eastern Kaapvaal, there are three previously investigated dyke swarms that appear to radiate out from the eastern lobe of the Bushveld Complex. The NE- and E trending branches comprise dykes dated at ca. LÄS MER
