   Sammanfattning : Since the collapse of the Warszawa pact Central and Eastern European countries have changed their political agenda towards Western European countries (and the EU) by showing a political will to establish a (new) society based on Western principles and values. Simultaneously the Member states of the European Union have coordinated their foreign and security policy and shown an interest in solving different conflicts outside its borders in order to protect itself and develop cooperation with countries that are outside the EU.
