    Sammanfattning : Does depression have a language? Is there such a thing as an explicit depressive narrative? This thesis serves to answer these questions with a study of the portrayal of depression in the novels Stjärnvattenfallet by Karin Bellman and The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. With a methodological background in Freudian theory the study investigates the versatility of the melancholy process as an analytical method in comparative literature. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : By examining newspaper articles from two different timeperiods in a public library’s life, specifically the main citylibrary of Gothenburg 1964-68 and 2004-2015, thismaster’s thesis studies the discourse of library practice aswell as its societal role during the building and re-buildingof the library.
