    Sammanfattning : The author discusses the construction of Englishness in Katherine Mansfield’s short story Je Ne Parle Pas Français using previous accounts for Englishness, Otherness and the context of modernism –primarily featuring imperialism. The author concludes that there is an English identity portrayed in Je Ne Parle Pas Français, but that it is to a greater extent associated with imperialism than other identifiable cultural traits.     Sammanfattning : I denna uppsats undersöks skillnaderna mellan de tre svenska översättningar som finns av Katherine Mansfields novell The Garden Party: Märta Lindqvists (1923), Birgitta Hammars (1954) samt Lars-Håkan Svenssons (2013). Skillnaderna identifieras och analyseras sedan med hjälp av Larssons (2007) modell, vilken bygger på Newmarks (1988) fyra nivåer som beskriver översättningsprocessen. LÄS MER
