    Sammanfattning : The thesis aims to examine how EU’s response to the critics from Azerbaijan’s foreign policy bodies is produced and see whether Azerbaijan’s geopolitical position on the crossroads of powerful international actors have had an impact. The discursive analytical approach “What’s the problem represented to be?” makes it possible to study how the EU’s rhetoric in policies and statements towards Azerbaijan has been created and what assumptions and ideas layed behind.
