    Sammanfattning : The thesis investigates proposals of Scania in Södertälje on how to implement smart manufacturing technologies, in the sense of a “smartfactory”, into their final assembly line. Based upon empirically collected, static, cycle times, the manufacturing process is being planned nowadays by hand, which leads in some cases to deviations between production forecast and throughput.
