  1. 1. Land cover classification using machine-learning techniques applied to fused multi-modal satellite imagery and time series data

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Anastasia Sarelli; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Geography; GIS; Land Cover Classification; Landsat; Machine Learning; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Land cover classification is one of the most studied topics in the field of remote sensing, involving the use of data from satellite sensors to analyze and categorize different land surface types. There are numerous satellite products available, each offering different spatial, spectral, and temporal resolutions. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Monitoring deforestation in the Serranía de Chiribiquete in northern Colombian Amazon using time series analysis of satellite data

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Yuyang Qian; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Physical Geography and Ecosystem analysis; CCDC; Forest loss; Landsat; Sentinel-1; Change detection; NNP; FARC; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Deforestation monitoring is of significant importance for the ecosystem, climate change,and policy-making. The availability of optical and synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite remote sensing images, along with the development of time series change detection methods, has contributed to the increasing popularity of time series analysis in forest disturbance monitoring. 3. 3. Importance of Snow in Alpine Plant Ecology : And Remote Sensing Applications in Species Modeling

    Master-uppsats, Stockholms universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi

    Författare :Eva Meyer; [2022]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Global warming, with pronounced increases toward the poles and high latitudes, has impacts on alpine vegetation. If snow patterns change in response to global warming, snow parameters are predictors of interest in alpine plant species distribution and traits modeling because snow is known to strongly control the local growing conditions of alpine plants. 4. 4. Development of a Level-0 Geoprocessing Platform for a Multispectral Remote Sensing Payload

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Lättkonstruktioner, marina system, flyg- och rymdteknik, rörelsemekanik

    Författare :Sergio Santiago Bernabeu Peñalba; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Infrared imagery; VIS; NIR; LWIR; geoprocessor; geolocation; quaternions; Aistech Space; image processing; ORB; RANSAC; Sentinel; Landsat; Infraröda bilder; VIS; NIR; LWIR; geoprocessor; geolokalisering; kvarternioner; Aistech Space; bildbehandling; ORB; RANSAC; Sentinel; Landsat;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presented an overview of the development of a geolocating algorithm as part of a geoprocessor for raw satellite imagery. This algorithm was devised for and limited by the specifications of a state-of-the-art multispectral telescope designed by Aistech Space, hosted onboard the Guardian spacecraft, which will observe Earth through the visible, near infrared, and thermal infrared bands of the electromagnetic spectrum. 5. 5. Determination of semi-aerobic landfill suitability in tropical developing countries using land surface temperature : A case study of an unmanaged open dump in transition in Yangon City region, Myanmar

    Master-uppsats, Mittuniversitetet/Institutionen för ekoteknik- och hållbart byggande

    Författare :Václav Pánek; [2022]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Population growth rate increases rapidly, which reflects on Municipal Solid Waste(MSW) generation rates and the accumulation in unmanaged open dumps and landfills in developing countries. Consequences of improper MSW management and treatment are not only local or regional but global since Methane (CH4) emissions are responsible for a notable part of the total anthropogenic CH4 emissions.
