    Sammanfattning : El propósito de este estudio es investigar las creencias y actitudes de los estudiantes de español en los niveles A y B, de la Universidad de Uppsala en Suecia, hacia las variedades lingüísticas del español. Los resultados, basados en entrevistas a un número relativamente limitado de participantes, muestran que los estudiantes suecos han tenido  contacto con las variedades tanto de Latinoamérica como de España y consideran a todas las variedades como válidas, que forman parte del español y que deben ser tratadas en clase.
