    Sammanfattning : Studiens frågeställning bygger på syftet att undersöka om det finns ett samband mellan hur en moderat och en vänsterpartistisk EU-parlamentariker uttalar sig i frågan om Frontex och EU:s gränskontroll gentemot vad som står i deras valmanifest till Europaparlamentsvalet 2019. För att få ett så bra underlag som möjligt till att besvara frågeställningen används en jämförande kvalitativ innehållsanalys för att analysera de två olika valmanifesten och fem olika debattartiklar skrivna av Vänsterpartiets europaparlamentariker Malin Björk och Moderaternas europaparlamentariker Tomas Tobé.
