    Sammanfattning : Syftet med denna rapport är att undersöka hur inköpsfunktionen kan bidra till att öka hållbarheten i företaget och dess omgivning på både kort och lång sikt samt hur dessa möjligheter utnyttjas av företag i praktiken. Detta görs genom att dels undersöka och sammanställda tidigare studier, bland annat 41 vetenskapliga artiklar, gjorda främst på utländska företag, vidare genom en egen studie gjord på sex svenska företag för att undersöka hur dessa arbetar med hållbart inköp.
