    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, two MFC based films Carboxymethylated-Microfibrillated Cellulose (MFC) and Enzymatic-MFC were characterized and metalized in order to improve the barrier properties at high relative humidity. Several methods were used for the characterization process, which were Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), Contact Angle (CA), Energy Dispersive Spectra (EDS), Light Microscopy (LM), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and Oxygen Transmission Rate (OTR).
