  1. 1. Development of an MRI-compatible Multi-compartment Phantom for Dynamic Studies

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Medicinteknik och hälsosystem

    Författare :Jonas Ström Seez; Frederick Holmer Fann; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Dynamic studies; Dynamic phantom; Multi-compartment analysis; MRI compatible; PET; SPECT; Gamma camera; Nuclear medicine; Dynamiska studier; Dynamisk fantom; Multi-kammar analys; MRI kompatibel; PET; SPECT; Gammakamera; Nuklearmedicin;

    Sammanfattning : Medical imaging based on radioactive tracers exposes the patient to radiation. For this reason, a phantom is preferably used for non-clinical studies such as routine quality assurance and research. The aim of this project was to design, build and test a multi-compartment phantom to be used in dynamic SPECT/CT, PET/CT and PET/MRI studies. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Artifacts handling and DBS electrodes localization in the CT/MRI brain images

    Master-uppsats, Institutionen för informationsteknologi

    Författare :Amir Motevakel; [2013]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : In the DBS surgical treatment  the location of the electrodes has direct influence on the success rate of treatment.  Considering the fact that MRI imaging is not compatible with metal, post-operative CT images should be used to locate the electrodes on pre-operative MRI images which contain information about soft tissues. 3. 3. Application of Noise Invalidation Denoising in MRI

    Master-uppsats, Medicinsk informatik; Tekniska högskolan

    Författare :Pegah Elahi; [2012]
    Nyckelord :Magnetic Resonance Imaging; Noise Invalidation Denoising; Wavelet Transform Function;

    Sammanfattning : Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a common medical imaging tool that have beenused in clinical industry for diagnostic and research purposes. These images are subjectto noises while capturing the data that can eect the image quality and diagnostics. LÄS MER

  4. 4. In vivo knee cartilage quality assessment by direct quantification of glycosaminoglycans through chemical exchange saturation transfer (gagCEST)

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Sjukhusfysikerutbildningen

    Författare :Simon Kindvall; [2012]
    Nyckelord :Medicine and Health Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Introduction: Non-invasive imaging of human articular cartilage is an important tool in understanding, and thus allowing the development of effective treatments for, osteoarthritis; a disease responsible of impaired movement of millions of otherwise healthy individuals. Glycosaminoglycans (GAG) have been attributed with important biomechanical properties, vital for the function of the articular cartilage. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Design av en rörlig gummihand för användning i miljöer med magnetisk resonans

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Maskinkonstruktion (Inst.)

    Författare :Sofia Cruz-Ferreira Fröman; [2011]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : För denna avhandling har en första prototyp av en rörlig gummihand tillverkats, där endast pekfingret rör sig. En gummihand (rubber hand på engelska) är en konstgjord hand som används inom studier av kroppsuppfattning och ägande, vilka utgör ett viktigt område inom studier av människans medvetande. LÄS MER
