  1. 1. Insights Into Wind Profile Characteristics in the Arctic Marine Boundary Layer

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Luft-, vatten- och landskapslära

    Författare :Charlotte Sophie Gausa; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Arctic; wind profile power law; MOST; boundary layer; low level jets; sea ice; vindprofil; Arktis; gränsskikt; vindenergi; låghöjdsvindar; havsis;

    Sammanfattning : The atmospheric boundary layer in the Arctic is essential for the understanding of climate change and improving regional weather prediction. The aim of this study is to investigate to which degree wind speed profiles retrieved in the Arctic agree with well known wind profile concepts and understand which local impact factors influence the wind speed profile. 2. 2. Metaller i Vombsjön - Mygglarver som bioindikator för miljöövervakning

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Centrum för miljö- och klimatvetenskap (CEC)

    Författare :Siri Bengtsson; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Bioindicators; Chironomidae; Freshwater source; Lake Vomb; Metal concentrations; Pollution; Sediment sampling; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : This study investigates concentrations of eight metals (Cu, Zn, Cd, Pb, Hg, Cr, Ni, As) in the freshwater resource Lake Vomb, located in the south of Sweden (Scania), and explores the potential use of deformed Chironomidae larvae as bioindicator. Sediment samples from six locations were analysed against threshold values from the Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management and background values from the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency. 3. 3. FPGA Based Control of Multiple Electric Machines for Marine Propulsion Systems

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Simon Weideskog; [2024]
    Nyckelord :FPGA; Field Oriented Control; BLDC; SVPWM; SMO; Electric Drives; Electric Machines; Sliding Mode Observer; Marine Propulsion; Multiple Machines; Boat Motor; Fältorienterad styrning; marin framdrivning; elektriska drivsystem; elmaskiner; flertal maskiner; båtmotor;

    Sammanfattning : This master thesis addresses the control of electric propulsion motors in a marine context. The focus lies mainly on the implementation of field oriented control (FOC) in a field programmable gate array (FPGA). The hypothesis is that FPGAs provide performance advantages over microcontroller-based control solutions by enabling parallel processing. LÄS MER

  4. 4. PLASTICS AND LOBBYIN G - lobby group success in the decision making phase of a policy

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Statsvetenskapliga institutionen

    Författare :Alexandra Bengtsson; [2023-11-09]
    Nyckelord :Key words: European Union; lobbying; lobbying success; environmental policy ; single use plastics.;

    Sammanfattning : In June 2019 a new legislation was in place targeting plastic pollution in the EU, banning the 10 most found single use plastic products ( SUP: s ) found in the marine environment. This was an important legislation where the EU lobby groups , mainly the environmental and the industry groups were lobbying the decision makers . LÄS MER

  5. 5. Marina kolonilotter - en hållbarhetsnisch i ett sociotekniskt landskap: En kvalitativ studie av marina kolonilotters potentiella roll i omställningen mot hållbar livsmedelsproduktion och samhällen

    Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för globala studier

    Författare :Linnéa Andersson; [2023-10-18]
    Nyckelord :Marina kolonilotter; Havskoloni; Blue community gardens; Regenerative aquaculture; Small scale ocean farming; Transition theory; Socio-technical transitions; Multi level perspekctive;

    Sammanfattning : This study aims to contribute knowledge and understanding regarding the role of political governance in facilitating grassroots initiatives that hold potential for advancing sustainable development. Specifically, the research investigates the potential role of Blue/marine community gardens in the transition towards sustainable societies and food production. LÄS MER
