    Sammanfattning : Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV's) offer great versatility in the tasks that they may perform and they are today used in many sectors. The H24LEO project, administered by the Lund University School of Aviation, aims to develop and demonstrate a hybrid proton-exchange membrane fuel cell-powered UAV to aid in search and rescue operations performed by the Swedish Maritime Administration, and reduce the greenhouse gas emissions compared to similar work performed by helicopters.     Sammanfattning : The objective of this thesis has been to improve the camera controls of a fixed-wing drone to be used in maritime search-and-rescue operations by the Swedish Sea Rescue Society (SSRS).     Sammanfattning : Eighteen of twenty-five rescue-vessels operated by NGOs in the Mediterranean has been subjected to administrative or criminal sanctions. Whether rescue amounts to a crime is the basis for this thesis, which examines the intersection between prevention of the transnational crime of smuggling, and the rescues often necessary when smugglers facilitate journeys across the sea.
