    Sammanfattning : This essay aims to investigate the conditions of public art in a contemporary discourseanalysis based on medial sources and social networks, concerning the anonymous citizeninitiative “The Shorelinestone”, also known as the memorial monument of the indieband Broder Daniel. With Roland Barthes Semiotics and Chantal & Mouffe's Discoursetheory, I examine the articulations of different discourses in the field, forming an antagonism eventually illustrating the conditions of public art today.
