  1. 1. 3D-skanning som teknik för digital hopsättning - Ett alternativ till fysisk hopsättning inom aktiv konservering

    Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för kulturvård

    Författare :Emma Karlsson Björksund; [2020-08-05]
    Nyckelord :3D scanning; Digital reassembly; Structured light; Photogrammetric triangulation;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis aims to test and assess 3D-scanning and digital reassembly of objects in conservation. To do this, two 3D-scanning techniques have been tested, first scanning with structured light and secondly photogrammetric triangulation. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Model Dialogues: 3D models as active resources – an experiment in data enrichment of 3D modelled lithic artefacts

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Arkeologi

    Författare :Michael Harris; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Digitisation; Visualisation; Illustration; Slow Archaeology; Photogrammetry; Digital Archaeology; Agisoft Metashape; Meshlab; Blender; 3DHOP; Metadata; Formation Processes; Use-Wear Analysis; Chaîne opératoire; History and Archaeology;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis seeks to explore the potential for 3D archaeological datasets to become the ‘living resources’ advocated by Morgan and Wright (2018). This process is examined through lenses of object agency, object biography, Chaîne opératoire, formation processes and posthumanist theory with an aim to assess the capacity of digital approaches for enabling the self-reflexive ‘slow archaeology’ idealised by Caraher (2016). 3. 3. Observering Digitally - The use of Image-Based 3D Modelling Techniques for the documentation and study of Rune Stones

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Historisk arkeologi

    Författare :Rasmus Friberg; [2015]
    Nyckelord :Rune Stone; Image Based Modelling; Low Cost; Documentation; Viking Age; Agisoft Photoscan; Meshlab; Radiance scaling; 3D; History and Archaeology;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis aims to test and evaluate the use of image-based 3D modelling techniques on rune stones. To test the method a well-documented rune stone was chosen, Hyby stone 1. The stone has been dated to the Viking Age and contains 37 runes, whereof 29 are still visible, two crosses and a stag. LÄS MER

  4. 4. The Harpy Tomb: An Experimental Visibility Analysis

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Antikens kultur och samhällsliv

    Författare :Peter Fange; [2014]
    Nyckelord :The Harpy Tomb; 3D models; Xanthus; Lycia; digital acquisition; visibility; digital reconstruction; Blender; Meshlab.; History and Archaeology;

    Sammanfattning : A study done on the Harpy Tomb at Xanthus in ancient Lycia. This study is an experimental visibility analysis, the purpose of which is to explore to what extent the geometry of the bas-relief panels would be visible. Aspects which are taken into consideration for this purpose include distance and varying positions, as well as time of day. LÄS MER

  5. 5. The use of 3D laser scanning technology in buildings archaeology: the case of Måketorpsboden in Kulturen museum, Lund

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Historisk arkeologi

    Författare :Linda Nesi; [2013]
    Nyckelord :3D scanning; timber building; MeshLab; digital technologies; 3D laser scanner; building archaeology; History and Archaeology;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is a project developed with Kulturen Museum in Lund for the documentation of a wooden building from the end of the 18th century. The technology applied is 3D laser scanning. LÄS MER
