    Sammanfattning : This thesis adopts a critical perspective, and aims to contribute to the current body of research on the status of foreign academics in the Swedish labor market. It draws on an empirical qualitative study on an internship program for foreign academics in a large Swedish corporation, investigating the relationship between the societal and the organizational contexts - the internship program functions as a means to counteract the high unemployment rates among foreign academics in Sweden.
