  1. 1. Localization of Combat Aircraft at High Altitude using Visual Odometry

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för fysik

    Författare :Jenny Nilsson Boij; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Monocular Visual Odometry; Monocular SLAM; High Altitude; Combat Aircraft; X-Plane;

    Sammanfattning : Most of the navigation systems used in today’s aircraft rely on Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). However, GNSS is not fully reliable. For example, it can be jammed by attacks on the space or ground segments of the system or denied at inaccessible areas. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Tracking motion in mineshafts : Using monocular visual odometry

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för fysik

    Författare :Karl Suikki; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Monocular Visual Odometry; Tracking; ORB; SIFT;

    Sammanfattning : LKAB has a mineshaft trolley used for scanning mineshafts. It is suspended down into a mineshaft by wire, scanning the mineshaft on both descent and ascent using two LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) sensors and an IMU (Internal Measurement Unit) used for tracking the position. 3. 3. Deep Monocular Visual Odometry for fixed-winged Aircraft : Exploring Deep-VO designed for ground use in a high altitude aerial environment

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Oliver Öhrstam Lindström; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Deep-VO; Aviation; Fixed-Wing; Aircraft; Deep Learning; Deep-VO; Hög Höjd; Flygplan; Deep Learning;

    Sammanfattning : In aviation, safety is a big concern. Knowing the position of an aircraft at all times is of high importance. Today most aircraft utilize Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) for localization and precision navigation because of the small position error which do not increase over time. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Inferring 3D trajectory from monocular data using deep learning

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Victor Sellstedt; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Deep Learning; Monocular trajectory estimation; Time series prediction; Synthetic data; Djupinlärning; Inferens från monkulära sekvenser; Tidsserieanalys; Syntetisk data;

    Sammanfattning : Trajectory estimation, with regards to reconstructing a 3D trajectory from a 2D trajectory, is commonly achieved using stereo or multi camera setups. Although projections from 3D to 2D suffer significant information loss, some methods approach this problem from a monocular perspective to address limitations of multi camera systems, such as requiring points in to be observed by more than one camera.
