  1. 1. Geometry of high dimensional Gaussian data

    Kandidat-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Tillämpad matematik; Linköpings universitet/Tekniska fakulteten

    Författare :Olof Samuel Mossberg; [2024]
    Nyckelord :HDLSS; high dimensional data; stochastic boundedness; asymptotic orthogonality; geometry; multivariate normal distribution; HDLSS; högdimensionell data; stokastisk begränsning; asymptotisk ortogonalitet; geometri; multivariat normalfördelning;

    Sammanfattning : Collected data may simultaneously be of low sample size and high dimension. Such data exhibit some geometric regularities consisting of a single observation being a rotation on a sphere, and a pair of observations being orthogonal. This thesis investigates these geometric properties in some detail. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Indocyanine-green fluorescence imaging to detect anastomotic insufficiency after esophagectomy

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Förbränningsfysik

    Författare :Love Kildetoft; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Fluorescence; Imaging; Indocyanine-green; ICG; Esophageal cancer; Physics; Photonics; Image Analysis; Blood Perfusion; Anastomotic leakage; Anastomotic insufficiency; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : This research project is concerned with the development of simulation models and image analysis algorithms, as well as instrumentation for characterizing anastomotic leakages after a patient has undergone surgery for esophageal cancer. Anastomotic leakage is a high-incidence complication after esophagectomy, a surgical procedure for esophageal cancer. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Simuleringsdriven inferens av stokastiska dynamiska system

    Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för matematiska vetenskaper

    Författare :Alfred Andersson; Vilgot Jansson; Noah Trädgårdh; Jacob Welander; Victor Wellsmo; [2023-11-28]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Stokastiska modeller, som ger tillförlitlig och användbar information om ett systems beteende, består ofta av stokastiska differentialekvationer (SDE) vars likelihoodfunktion inte är analytiskt tillgänglig. Mer traditionella Markov Chain Monte Carlo-metoder (MCMC) samt relativt nyligen utvecklade likelihood-fria Approximate Bayesian Computation-metoder (ABC) utgör populära angrepssätt för att utföra inferens på dessa typer av problem. 4. 4. Parameter Inference for Stochastic Models of Gene Expression in Eukaryotic Cells

    Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för informationsteknologi

    Författare :Ansar Siddiqui; [2023]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Simulation models are often used to study a system or phenomenon. However, before a simulation model can be used, its parameter needs to be fit to mimic observed data. This is called the parameter inference problem. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Non-linear effects in the ATLAS track-counting luminosity measurement

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Högenergifysik

    Författare :Daniel Gautam; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Particle physics; CERN; ATLAS; Track counting; Luminosity; Monte Carlo; Track Selection;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis the linearity of the ATLAS track-counting luminosity measurement is studied using two different sets Monte Carlo simulated crossings of proton-proton bunches. A primary high-momentum, or hard, interaction must be chosen for the Monte Carlo simulation. LÄS MER
